Today we started to build two mecanum bases for this year’s challenge. We are modeling this year’s robot off of last years. We are doing this because there are several things from that robot which can be helpful for this year. Modifications will be made to last year’s elevator and electronics to fit this years needs more thoroughly. The programming team was able to get a camera working on last years robot, which will be useful during the sandstorm period. A few of the other less seen members of team Daedalus worked on the creating models of our robot and practice bot in SolidWorks, including the bases, three-stage elevator, and the electronics package. Others worked on our website, photography, buttons, and scouting related items.
